I would try slightly wiggling the Modchip a little bit, or pushing down hard on it and slowly letting up.  Sometimes the D0 comes out of its hole by a hair, and this will cause the "Christmas Lights" to come on.  You could also just try re-seating the entire chip again.

As far as being able to see which bank your BIOS is in, and what BIOS you have installed for each bank; I don't think it is possible to see from connecting to your chip using the X-B.I.T software.

Thanks for the info Jeeps..

Turns out it may have been wrong dips all along. I eventually got back to the right settings and came up ok. Just bizzare that it was powering up and down but maybe it does that if there is no bios to be loaded.

Now I still can't get into my original dash with STM is on but that may be another problem. The STM switch is doing something though cause I get the good old "call this number for hardware repair"  message when STM is on. I've got a few things to try.. sux about the flash software... oh well.

Thanks!
