I have the exact same problem... If you find out what's wrong, please let me know. It seems that this new 1.5 xbit sucks... I loved the old one, installed it in a 1.4, had very few problems. Somebody help us, this is very frustrating... And I haven't found a way to contact DMS so I don't know where we are supposed to get help

I tinkered around wit it for a lil longer after my first post, i came across a post in the forum telling how to clean the d0, so i cleaned it n put the chip back on n it works great.  It has a clear coating around the edge that keeps it from making as good of contact with the pins.  Worked great first time I loaded it with a backup, then when I closed the box it started fragging.  Opened it back up again n it worked again.  Must have been the way I had the black n yellow wires ran since the dvddrive sits on top of that area.  Routed them more carefully n  bam its workin perfect
