V1.5 Flash Software Not Doing Anything
« on: November 03, 2004, 12:51:00 PM »

I've had the same problem before..
Your best bet would be to go to a buddy's house who has Windows 98 and run the xbit 1.0 software to flash the chip.

If you have an xbit 1.5 download the newest xbit software for xp :

Try that on a windows xp machine..

I just couldn't use it on my computer because of the type of USB mouse I had plugged in. Works alright on my other XP box (this comp). Sometimes I have to plug, unplug, and then replug the modchip before the program connects. Try disconnecting the mouse while you use it (learn your keyboard shortcuts or use mouse-keys). Make sure you're using the v 1.5 software (though it sounds like you are because I only had htis problem with version 1.5, not with 1.0) Good luck.

The "Comdlg32.ocx" error is caused by VB Runtime files.  [I think]  You should be able to download those anywhere.  Do a google.  You could then install them on the Windows 98 computers.
