I agree, setup was really pretty simple.  Especially for a person who has no experience in such things... I'm just glad I got a solderless modchip, those solder points are freakin tiny!!

i should have my xbit in the next day or two, and plan on doing the pogo install as i have no experience with soldering (although i hope to learn by doing mods and whatnot). i had one question though, for those of you that have done the soldering method... where the hell do you put your xbit chip after youve soldered the wires to the mobo? ph34r.gif

Tape it to the metal sheilding

With Electric Tape (for wire install)

The wires have to be cut down alot , leave alot of wire for D0 if doing the alternate D0

Got my chip today and installed using pogo pins method.  I was worried that the chip wouldn't worked because the pin headers were severely bent.  Maybe it's just me, but I thought connecting the yellow and black cables was pretty hard.  I don't know how I managed to line up the chip with D0, but it worked the first time for me, without any scraping or clearning.  All the postings on this board really helped out.  Thanks!

I have a green SE box (halo 2 promo edition) and from what I gather this is a v1.4 machine. Only info i can find on here regarding this SE box and the x-bit is that an EvoX bios will cause FRAG. I read if you flash with executer2 bios it comes online lickety split. Good thing--because I was planning on using an EvoX bios initially. X-S forums saves the day again.  beerchug.gif

Anyone else have any experience using Halo2 Promo Edition Xbox + X-BiT?

Just wanted to add my vote.
I have the XBIT installed on my vs 1.3 xbox using the pogo pins.
Had no probs with the hardware install but this being my first found the bios end of the deal a little tricky.
