My ESTmated guess would be no. You would MOST likely feed the wire through the outer case and the attach it to the switch.

the wires are actually coming from the grills on the right side of the xbox ( power button facing you). Its interesting to see that they 2-way taped the switch to the back of the box, I wonder if they will release a small protective box cover for it.

When I get my xbit ill posts some pics.

An idea that i have is to dremmel & file a small box shaped hole in the back and keep the switch inside and feed it to the hole via small USB extension cable. Therefore I can plug the usb cord in the back should i want to flash the bios.
