I don't know if there's much activity in here any more but I'll give this a go.

I've got the lines in my evox.ini to give me the Chameleon menu and can select the option to disable the chip. When I do this, the Xbox reboots, loads the MS dash & the chip has a solid blue led. So, what I'm wondering is, is the chip now safely disabled for me to go on Live? I expected the led to be off & can't find anything in the manual or anywhere else to confirm this. I don't want to waste a 12-month Live sub on this if I can avoid it.

While I'm at it, does the mode 1/ mode 2 menu only appear when the dip switches are set for that mode? I was hoping to flash X2 5035 onto the 2nd 512K bank but couldn't get the mode 2 options. I opened the Xbox up, changed to mode 2 & it happily booted my 256K BIOS from bank 0 then gave me the mode 2 menu & let me flash the 512K BIOS. This seems to be fine, I just wanted to confirm that this is normal operation.
