Only a few days ago I discovered the fact that you can mod your Xbox for a bigger HDD, XBoxMediaCenter etc. This is fantastic.
So, over the last few days I've been researching how to do this.
As I am not happy soldering an XBox I would like to for something like the Spider mod chip.
What I want to do:
swap out hard drive to simply install XBoxMediaCenter to play MP3s and watch XVid movies.
For this I assume I need:
Modchip (SpiderChip)
BIOS
New HDD

I have EvolutionX M8 bios, both V1.6 and older ones.
Will this work on the SpiderChip, assuming I use the right BIOS for the right MOBO version?
Also, to do what I want to do, do I HAVE to install a new dahsboard? If so why?
What else will I need to do what I want to do?
