What Can I Use?
« on: December 06, 2008, 11:36:00 PM »

Hi,

I'm working on a few mods for my Xbox and need some info.

The first question is for my Xbox controller.

I went to an electronics store and bought some LEDs and resistors.

I told the assistant what I needed them for and all the necessary information.

Eg. Input voltage and how many LEDs I want to link up.

He suggested I connect a resistor to each of them.

Now here are the LEDs and resistors I got:

LED: Blue, 3.6v, 30mA, 2KMCD

Resistors: 0.25w, 22M OHM(I think), the band of colors are – red,red,blue,gold.

I was wondering how would you recommend I connect these LEDs to my
Xbox S Controller.

I know where to connect them, but I don’t know how as in, do I use 3 resistors for each LED or one resistor for all?

Also if the resistors aren’t the correct ones which ones should I get?

I have 3 LEDs and 3 Resistors.

This question is for my Xbox.

I also got 8 Red LEDs( 2.1v, 20mA),  I’m following this tutorial
 http://home.comcast....00/ledtutorial/.

Now I was wondering if I can connect my LEDs like that, and if so then what type of resistor should I use?

Sorry for the long post.

Thanks for the help.
