Well hers how i made mine, I dont know if youd consider it clean, but it sure looks even and everything under my jewel

First you draw out the shape of the ring on a peice of paper, and put a line directly thru the centre that way you know it will all be even then punch however many leds you want around the circle

then bend all the negative leads in, and positive leads out on the otherside of the paper

next connect all the negatives

Do the same for the positives

make a wire extending off both sets of wires you made one for positive one for negative, solder on the resistor, to the positive lead...
next put glue on the back of all the solder joints to aviod shorting, (this also keeps the leds in place, so they can be easily adjusted to make sure they are center.

FINAL PRODUCT (looks bad cuz i used UV leds, and its hard for my cam to pic them up)

Yeah I had to get dimmer led's since i was puttin a screen in.  I didn't want the light to take away anything from the screen.  I was just showing that the tuts on xbox-scene.com works well.

You could just buy a blank LED ring from llamma.com and put in your own LEDs and resistor.  The blanks are $10+s/h.  They will self align with the jewel because of the two posts on the xbox as well.

QUOTE(wagas)
yea ive had a look at them on xbox-scene, not the greatest tuts i must say, but i dont prefer the method, i rather have a ring.

If you don't like the tutorials or cant understand them then dont use them.  Tutorials are ment as a guide.  Not as something that it going to take your hand and do the work for you.  Modding is something that you have to want to do because nobody else is going to do it for you.  If they do then you are not a modder.  A large part of modding requres reading, reading, reading.  That means read what complete strangers have created (tutorials) to make it easier for you.  When you ask what resistor should I use that just tells me that you are too lazy to even read the pinned topics at the top of the page.  Do you expect not to do anything and just wake up one day and find a case modded xbox?  Its not going to happed.  Take some initiative, that means dont be so fucking lazy, and read the pinned topic and tutorials.
