Hdd Too Small.. Recommendations?

I'm a noob when it comes to my xbox. Just picked it up from a gentleman, came already modded with HDD,  Avalaunch, etc.

However, the HDD is only ~40GB. With games on there, music, a few movies, emulators and thousands of ROMs, and the dashboard I am out of space. If I wanted to upgrade, what would be best way to do it? Can I just add a second drive? Or do i need to start from scratch..

Its far easier to start from scratch.

Back all the stuff up you want to keep to your PC

Put a lovely new larger drive in there

Use a disk like Slayers to format and install a dashboard

FTP all your stuff back

Great. I will do some more research on the Slayers disk and go from there.
