Yeah, no sucess here either... And it's pretty much a game that I had rented on GC a few years back with a few extras, I guess I can just give up too. I'll pick it up for 10$ in a few months, its bound to get that cheap (hell gamefly is already offering it for $22 used).

"latest patch"... PM me please, I can't see anything on the usual sites except the patches from late March that came out pretty much right after the game was released...

Odd, I just tried getting SMBDX to run on my xbox HD and it worked perfectly fine. I applied a patch and used an NTSC SMBDX version. I have a v1.4 NTSC xbox running avalaunch.

HAH! I scoff at those who dare call me obsolete!

I'm running a SMBD NTSC HD Backup on a 1.0 PAL Xbox with Evox Dash.

MS Dash Settings:
Video Aspect: Normal
60 Hz Supported: Yes

Evox Dash Settings:
TSR: Disabled
Game Region: NTSC - North America

As for the PAL TV Issues. Apparently, using the Scart cable (Big Chunky Muf*cka that comes standard with the Xbox) resolves the colour and flickering issues. MS Magic?... Doubted, it's usually the case that any TV that supports Scart input supports Multi Video Standards anyway.

Options?

1. Get a better TV you lousy bum, you gave up on life diddn't you!

2. Find a Patch for the game that features Video Standard Conversion

3. Invest in a scart converter, I've seen some of those multi-input switches that support scart aswell as AV.

4. Put a carton of eggs in the microwave (Always good for laughs)

5. I don't know what the chances are, but perhaps the primative nature of your TV could come into play with the use of an RF Adapter?

Sorry to revive old topics but I have recently acquired this game and can't get to run off the HD on a v1.1 NTSC softmodded Xbox with Evox dash.

The game just never loads.

I have tried methods in this thread and nothing seems to work.

What tool can I use to check the region of the game?

Are all 3 .xbe's supposed to be there?
default.xbe
default.xbe_orig
default_ffp.xbe

Do I need to rewrite each of these .xbe's to default.xbe and try them separately?

Got it working!

I'm using the latest version of EvoX (EvolutionX) as of September 2009 on my NTSC Xbox.

1. Go to the settings of EvoX
2. Change the region settings from "Default" to "Auto"
3. Disable TSR
4. BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN AND CHOOSE "SAVE AND EXIT"
5. Load Super Monkey Ball Deluxe from EvoX NOT XBMC

Using these settings my HDD copy off Super Monkey Ball Deluxe worked perfectly.
