No!  Your computer can't read XBOX discs.  mad.gif

I got the company name screen to come up. It said Bethodosa or something for Morromind game of the year Edition. I started celebrating like an idiot, then it said I had a dirty disc. Kept trying and trying and it just got worse. A screen would come up that looked like a dirty NES cartridge all pixels. I'm gonna try again using Alcohol 120.

Seems like someone could write a program to mount a XBOX disc on a PC and avoid the FTP crap.

No not really.  If you knew anything about encryption you wouldn't feel that way.  dry.gif

ok baseball28.  how much you want from me.  first, you see my post and answer it superfast.  i appreciate that.  second, you have this guide, that i decide to follow for my first backup.  got the chip on thursday, got it going by friday (only cuz i was stupid and had the chip in backwards), and attempted my first burn from 12-2am fri night/sat morn.

couple things to know about what i had to work with:

a thompson drive

you guys all talk about disc type, well, mine just happened to be, and no kidding, dvd+r by the name of VALUE DISC.  (great deal, i got 2 packs of 50 for 20 each at officemax.  hard to beat 100 discs for 40 bucks in a store)

and i dont have nero.  i have roxio.  but i didnt even use that.  i used dvd decryptor in iso/write mode at 2x.

so there you have it.  another successful back up with some of the worst tools you can use (though i do like dvd decryptor).  and the game was rb63:ba.

props goes out to you my man.
