Question On The Newest Xbox Games Out.

uhh.gif unsure.gif Is there a list of games out there that are known to have problems after they have been back-up to the Hdd. I heard most of the newest games are starting to get a little tricky after they have been back-up and that they just need a patch or updated bios. I'm Still using the Eject fix D-6 bios and havent had any probmlem yet with it. I don't know if a list of this type is out there like the working EMU roms list for different EMU's. Thanks for the help.

first off if u read, that every game after FEB. 2003 needs patching either with a bios that does this or a app like dvd2xbox or pxhdd loader that autopatches.  there are certain games like nfl fever, matrix, amped 2, crimsom skies that need special attention. so read more.

i think it would be good to have a runnin glist of all games that need media check 1, media check 2, and additional patches, anyone want to help me compile a list?

There really isn't anything new except for games like Crimson Skies whcich seems to have problems with software mods. Programs usually do the patching for you though.

If you guys want to make a list.. that's your call.  But it seems like alot of work.. with no real payoff.

Listing games that need Media checks 1, 2, etc doesn't really help anyone these days.

If they have old chips.. they've been patching since day one anyways.  If they have flashable chips.. they have the option of any of the current bioses (and future ones) that take care of the media patch issues.

If there is a need for a list.. it might be a list of games that have UNIQUE backup issues.

Metal Gear Solid 2 (2 disk issues)
Enter the Matrix ( Naming issues)
Furios Karting (Foriengs characters in 6 filenames in some localized versions)

etc...  

Also any games that may have Region Checking.. like PAL Conflict Dessert Storm 2 was reported to have when attmepting to play on NTSC system.

A list that tackles these unique issues.. IMO.. may be of alot more use.  The list could go into detail on the possible fixes and workarounds.

Just my 2 cents.

yeah,i was half asleep when i made that post, forget media check 1/2, lol heres some unique backup/size issues

Metal Gear Solid 2 (2 disk issues)

You can say any game not on the list will still need either or both media 1 and 2 patches which are done by <biosname> version# and up.    biggrin.gif
