What is the brightest LED you have ever seen?

I know Vishay Intertechnology makes 20,000mcd LEDs, but is that the brightest they go? Regardless, I'd love to get my hands on some those LEDs.

im not quite sure what the top rated LED is...
but i can say our v3 light kit pumps out 28,000mcd!!

damn, you guys have a hard time finding your xbox in the dark??  :lol:
my cold cathode is weak shyt--i can ALMOST see it lit when its dark.

it looks very cool.... sorry, but i cant get too detailed...
it will be available in 4 colors... red, blue, green and UV (blacklight)
this wont be released for a while because we are working on reducing the overall temp....

actually there was a standalone LED that was waaaaaaaaaaay brighter than any on the market right now (the name was something-a). it's rated at 630,000+ mcd. i forgot which site reviewed it, it was a case modding site like ocprojects. it was mentioned on xboxhacker.net forums i believe. i think that was the first place where i heard about, gonna have to find the link again.

it's not exactly a convential LED. the size is nearly 3 times bigger than 5mm bulbs and it's heat production is alot compared to regular LED.

that thing looks f*ckn hardcore!!!! pointless--yet HARDCORE!

let me rephrase---pointless to modding your xbox....it'd have ALOT of uses elsewhere...though i'd pick one up and try it out on my box.  :D
