Left Channel Audio Not Working, Please Help

Recently the left channel of my xbox's audio stopped working.  Very little sound comes out of my left speaker, and what does is distorted.  I tested the speaker and made sure that wasn't the problem, its definitely coming from my xbox.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
