I didnt have to change to the default skin to apply this update (using PM3 Mark3 Stats) and everything was fine.

I had a friend ask if it were possible to browse the music collection without actually changing the song. Might be another thing you can add to this great dash.

On a side note, it's funny that the only 2 people who are posting here about the WIP are Aussies, where the 360 hasnt come out yet... But none the less, i still like seeing development on this dash.

Cheers,
Stuart

hrmm I didn't actually try it since he said it was only minor update

It is kind of possible to do so with the "manage tracks" and "edit" you get when pressing start button in the music manager. But yeah its not really a full browser sort ot thing to select stuff

Yeah I got to say this default Icon always showing thing is really bugging me from a skin point of view
can we please get an option to turn it off maybe on a skin level as well as a settings level even like so

<Image Left="200" Top="85" Width="442" Height="310" ShowDefault="False" Source="GameIcon" />
And skin.xml always overrides settings

example 2 (example 1 was on the page before)

hmmm...

ok, just a thought, if its not too much trouble, adding to the implementation of drivespace info...in adding a combined total of free space in percentage for the partitions C,E,F,G,X,Y,Z, to show freespace of the hdd...

(and i would love to be a part of the beta testing process for the WIP's, though i dont have a lot of free time, if your looking for another tester who can come back from any mistake and then recreate the mistake only to throw his xbox across the room and fix it just to make the same mistake again, im your man  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)  )

keep up the good work

I seems like an Ok idea but really whats the point of it ? it could say you still have 20% free and you try to copy something to f: and its full.   Just seems a little pointless when people will always have some free space on c,x,y,z and probbaly e as well

i was thinkin about that myself...but then at the same time, i like lookin up and seeing how much of my hdd ive used...yhea 99% of people wont have a use for it...nothin that needs to be there, just an idea  (ive always been one for useless little things though (impulse shopper of sorts))

****   Change Log   ****

UnleashX V0.39.0000 Build 575
Version:   0.39 Build 575
Status      Alpha-WIP
Release Date:   02/27/2006

*Changed   "Middle" alignment reverted back to old implementation.
*Added   AlbumArt for custom soundtrack. Drop a file named "folder.jpg" or
"folder.png" in each of your custom soundtrack folder. You can
then display the album art like the following in either the main
   screen, or the music player.

   <Image Left="520" Top="285" Width="90" Height="80" Source="AlbumArt" />
*Added   GameIcon now returns the default Icon if one is missing. I'm thinking
of making this a configurable setting, being able to set your own
   default icon.

I found a bug with the display of the hdd space. The C partition freespace is being displayed ok, the freespace is shown ok, but the total space for the partition. See the pics below.

Under the settings menu:
(IMG:http://www.myfilestash.com/userfiles/sr_sparky/HDD_Drive_C_Display_Settings.JPG)

Under the system info:
(IMG:http://www.myfilestash.com/userfiles/sr_sparky/HDD_Drive_C_Display_System_Info.JPG)

And also, i vaguely remember this being noted before, the highlighted bit where it says Dash Version twice.

BUG
Once you get past adding 11 custom sountrack folders any folder after that will have \ listed as its title name ie: from 12th folder on.. I eeven ftped over the info.xml file fixed it and stuck it back and all though the info displayed correct in the text items the "Manage Soundtracks" options listed every folder as \ after the 11th one

Just an update:

I removed the default icon now. seems pretty unpopular  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The bugs posted by sr_sparky has already been fixed too.

Jezz_X, I have more than 12 albums, but I'll check this one out. What's your folder structure? Just one root and everything else immediately?

Its like this
f:\Music\album1
f:\Music\album2
f:\Music\album3
f:\Music\album4
f:\Music\album5
with unleashX set to go to f:\music to look
Oh and they all have cover art now so maybe thats it
Also I slowly added them 1 by 1 instead of having all the albums there on start
I will delete the info.xml and see if it still does it

Ok Folder structure looks like this
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a273/Jez...xbox/music1.jpg

and in the manage tracks I get (the top 4 are ms dash soundtracks)
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a273/Jez...xbox/music2.jpg

The last two albums I added were

Nickelback All The Right Reasons
Green Day - Bullet In A Bible - 2005

and there the two that wont list properly I added Nickelback first and thats when it started
I even just tried deleteing the info.xml and I got the same thing with the same albums again
