hrmm maybe thats why all these people post that auto region switch is not working because dvd2xbox removes the region.  Good find smile.gif

That file's for use with DVD2XBox.

Copy that file into the ACL directory in your DVD2XBox directory on your XBox. Run DVD2XBox, and use the file browser to locate the IndyCarSeries directory. Select process ACL from the list of options.

Sorry, this is all from memory, so may not be completely accurate.

Yeah, fantastic find. This would also explain my conufsion with the info option, in both Ulx and Ava.... chosing info on the xbe from the hdd would display different region info than from the orig xbe on the dvd.... nice. Thanks for the tip.

On the subject of regions, I searched for ages trying to work out what the different region numbers were, and found limited info. Anyway, my conclusion is this:

The region number consists of three binary bits - bit 1 being NTSC-US, but 2 for NTSC-J, and bit 3 for PAL.

For people who don't understand binary, that means:

Region 1 - NTSC - USA
Region 2 - NTSC - Japan
Region 3 - NTSC - USA & Japan
Region 4 - PAL
Region 5 - NTSC-USA & PAL
Region 6 - NTSC-Japan & PAL (I doubt this one would exist in the real world)
Region 7 - NTSC-USA, NTSC-Japan & PAL (ie All Regions)
