It's either you didn't let the dash finish loading or the skin (specifically the media) caused it to crash. If you believe the skin files are okay, then, it's only a matter of reboot to go back to it. It's better this way rather than popping out your boot disk and try to find the reason why your dash wouldn't boot. That's the "Safety Mode" and it will do that too if your config file is messed up, giving you the chance to fix the problem. Like I said, it's one of those little annoyance that's not so hard to live with. It shields you from a bigger can of worms.
