even though i'm part of the team i thought i'd just like to say that i can do a bit of cool models.
all i need is a good converter of .max to.x and visa versa (i've tried deep exploration and loads of others but they don't work with 3ds max 6 which i have :( )
but i'll try and download the dx9 sdk tonight and see if it works.
haven't got any screens atm but will upload them once i'm on my laptop.

I'm still very new to Maya but getting the basics, would this be ok for a sphere in nexgen skins or am I doing it completely wrong?

I can do some 3DS Max 6, I mean making menus doesn't seem that hard, I cant make complext characters or anything, but I can easily make a menu (like the ones you have now).  Anyways if you need my help I can try, I'll try to post a pic soon (maybe tommorow).  I've been messing around with 3DS Max for quite a while, although I never go too serious, but I'll post something.

Can I adjust the plea to mappers. We really need people who can map my models for in the dash. I have most of it modelled, it just needs mapping and converting to xbg's for use in neXgen. Making the panels is fairly easy, but good mapping is the key if you want simple and nice skinning. As you can see the menu panels are already mapped as is the orb. Maybe just convert those first gasclown at least then the coders will have 2 panels and an orb to play with, the rest can be added around it later.

Also Deep Expolration 3.5 and max 6 work fine together. It's all I use. SNICK! grab yourself a .x exporter for max if Deep Expolration is givving you bother.

Also I'll post the proper submenu look tonight (If I ever get home from work) as an animation. I dont like the one posted here. Looks ass! (cause when its skinned for neXgen it looks kaka in max)  lol

It's nothing special, but maybe I'll make something else tommorow...
