How To Add New Languages To Uix

Hello,
Does anyone know or point me to a tut as to how I can add a new language to UIX dash. I understand that the language .dat files in the same named folder can be edited with a text editor. But how do I make the language appear in the settings menu?
Can anyone help me with this?
