Xbox Hdd Swap

Hey, I am ordering the Matrix right now, and I need to know if this is a good modchip for swapping my HDD. Also can the matrix be disabled so I can playon Xbox live and use the new HDD at the same time?

If someone could give me a link to a good tutorial on what I need to do to the new HDD to prepare it, it would be appreciated. Also will the HDD still be locked to the Xbox when the modchip is disabled?
