Changing Font Color

I made my own skin, but since the font on the main menu is white it is kind of hard to see against that part of the background. Is there a simple way to change the color of the font? I looked in the avalaunch.xml file and came to the conclusion it is not in there. Do I have to change one of the font files to achieve this? Thanks.
