Extracting .xbe Icons
« on: August 09, 2006, 07:23:00 PM »

Anyone know how to do this? Easy methods preferred. I know QWIX can display icons and you can just screenshot them, but they come out with two missing rows and two missing colums of pixels. Annoying.

Much thanks.

go into yr udata dir and into the corresponding save for the game you want the icon for ie :  /E/UDATA/41590004/ = Dreamfall. amongst the files will be titleimage.xbx at 10 k's. this is the save icon.

now get a little app called "Fast_xbx2dds2img" and xdk util "bundler.exe" (dont ask), this will convert it to bitmap (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
