I my old XBox (which died on me) set so that the standard dash was Avalaunch, but I could have it boot to the EvoX or MS dashes by holding down buttons on the controller while I started it.

I've completely forgotten how I got this to work. Can someone tell me how to set this up again?

You set it up in by going into settings and then going into quickstart.
