I installed a 160GB hard drive a couple of weeks ago and I primarily use Avalaunch, but for the use of music, game backups with quix, and just being over cooler and better especially with the file manager and ability to share files with other xboxes on avalaunch, I decided I wanted to make ava my default.

But before doing that, I was going through the dashboard configuring everything, and when I went to file manager....it just locked up and stops playing music.

I then cleared all my cache, turned off IGR in evox and X2 IGR in ava, and I got the same problem. While trying to get files off my friends xbox, he said well maybe its because u have the music on...so we turned it completely off, rebooted and tried again...same problem.

Does anyone know what the deal is? It happened right after I installed my new 160gb hard drive, its one of those WDC, western digitals.

Are you booting directly into Ava or are you launching Ava from EvoX?

That may be your problem, especially if you're trying to do file transfer. Apparently loading Ava from another dashboard that init's the network controller will cause problems with Ava's network init. Try making Ava your default dash to see if this fixes your problem.

Does ava have a track record of not working with western digitals?

ya i deleted everything except for my custom skins, installed everything, and it worked, but when i configured the xml it would lock up agian
