QUOTE (Goya @ Jun 18 2004, 02:19 PM)
The ports are 0.

I probably dont need to do this, but I am forwarding the following ports on my linksys router(BEFSR41);  34518, 34519,8602,6073.  I have them forwarded to my PC's IP address, is that wrong?  I am still not clear in this area.

Your are forwarding ports to your PC but you are not setting Kai to use the ports you are forwarding. Set the ports in Kai Configuration, to 8602 and 34519 in that order.

Eesh what is happening here lol..

1. DO NOT TOUCH DEEP PORT UNLESS TOLD TO.
2. Port forward ONE UDP port if you need to. If you are unsure if you need to or not, just do one anyway (30000 UDP is what we suggest, but you can use whatever you want). Set this port forward number in "Kai Port", not "Deep Port".

Ive tried the suggestions and still havnt gotton it.  Forwarding the ports from kai did not seem to make a difference.  When browsing the menus on the box I can see other players and rooms, so im making some link here.  But when I start the game up there are no games, and when I host no one comes in.  Ive been trying pgr2 and rb6.   There are the most players in these games and I shoudl be able to see games even if they are in progress, but nothing.

Am I supposed to be able to start the game from the arena menus?  Or always backing out and starting normal?

Any other ideas? Thanks.

Monkey humper....

I am trying static now, and the same thing is happening!

I assigned my box a static IP out of my routers dynamic range.
I am still forwarding 30000 on router and Kai.
I can still see all the rooms, and menus and stuff.
and I still cant join or host games.  I dont see any games.

I didnt make any changes in my router for the new static ip.  But the box gets newsfeeds and can talk to Kai fine.  Is there something else I need to change?

On my box network settings I made my Gateway my routers IP.  Is that wrong?

Im really not a moron, but I feel like a fucking idiot here.  I usually figure stuff out after 2 or so days of plugging away...
