If a new release is coming soon, hopefully they're testing and debugging it good. We wouldn't want anotherr flood of "Ava Killed my Xbox" post again.

yeah, it's been a while since last release (for ava, but not compared to most apps smile.gif ) and i bet that's why, more testing...

@sigtom, yeah i have no idea where he got that from...

I havn't seen that posted anywhere an i've been scouring these forums for a good two week now.

I have to say though i can't wait for the new release. Avalaunch is becoming the next evox for sure.

lol...well, it is the ugliest dash by far....  its kind of the DOS of the xbox world.  Stable, but boring as hell.....

That's a pretty good analogy.  Won't crash, but you can't do a whole lot with it either.

Since I use apps to do most things with my xbox, Evox is great.  Its simple and works.  I only use AvaLaunch for burst FTP and Qwix.  If it weren't for Qwix, I wouldn't use it at all.   wink.gif

Avalaunch tries to do too much, and doesn't exactly do them all well.  Something you don't use may bring down your xbox.  Evox is tried and true and serves its purpose, to launch games and apps.

Besides, Evox supports command line options, such as launching ScummVMx games from the dash, skipping the ScummVMx loader.  Avalaunch still doesn't have that option.   biggrin.gif

if you knew anything about boostmode or ftp in general, that normal ftp is a "burst" and ava is a "stream"

Dude... your 100% WRONG..

Ava does do alot... but not TOO much.   And it does EVERYTHING well.. great in fact.. better and faster than lamo evox even.

Your stuff is just setup wrong or something if you feel this way!

Oh.. yeah.  I say bring on the next version even if it breaks something... Im bored and half the fun with the xbox is tweaking it!
