Could some dev please check out SmartFTP and why it doesn't work with Avalaunch? It works fine with evox etc., but for some reason the Drives (C:, E:, F:, ...) aren't recognized correctly by SmartFTP. Just DL SmartFTP, login on your xbox and try doubleclicking on a drive-folder.

It would be nice to see that fixed.

Have the same problems with CuteFTP Pro.
I think it has to do with that they add  the "C:\ 1067Mb free"
insted of just "C:\" and that the FTP-client doesn't handle it very well.
Other FTP-clients handles this better and is a bit more forgiving.
Without having had a look in the RFC, i don't think this is
specified in the RFC-spec and is an "extra feature" made
by the FTP-server authors of Avalaunch as a nice touch.
But, as I said, it's not handled well by all FTP-clients.

Best regards

mrRobinson,
Thanks for the quick reply.  I changed his user name and password to xbox, but it still gives the "access may be restricted" message.  Do you think there is a conflict with the Avalaunch installed in C partition and the one installed in F partition?  I deleted the Avalaunch app in my F partition as soon as I installed into C and it works fine.  Kind of a shot in the dark, but I thought I'd ask.  Otherwise, I'm going to recheck all the network settings in his xbox to verify everything is right.

this was actually a bug in the autodetect routines, fixed in the patch thats coming now.

I have 0.48.60 and I have no problems with FTP (still fast), game loading, or dashboard music.  I was testing it fairly extensively after using the autoupdate today.  I did not have a chance to test Xbox to Xbox transfers.

It did fail to connect to Xboxsaves but I'm unsure if it was Ava or the site was down at the time.

v0.48.64
Xenium with Final X2 Bios

Savegames used to work, but now give an error on download. Shoutcast no longer working ... wish I'd stuck with .60, as that seemed to work better.

v0.48.64 (however this bug affects all previous versions too I think)
x2.3bPro w/ 4981.06

When sending files to Xbox with FlashFXP (haven't tried other clients), after a lot of error 426 Couldn't open file for writing, error#123 consecutively* (because the files being sent had illegal filenames), when a valid filename is given and a transfer should begin, Avalaunch locks up and has to be rebooted.

It may be an issue with the number of #123s within a certain time-period, or the number of #123s total, I haven't tested it.  I know that in order to reproduce you have to get more than 2-3 #123s.

* for example, like 20 times in ~5 seconds

Anyway, this was also the case with XBMP as well but the latest builds seem to have it fixed...

I got a brand new PAL xbox two weeks ago. With avalaunch 46.60 the IR remote repeating bug was intermittent. Now, with 48.64 it's unusable - as soon as I power on the xbox, it starts repeating whatever key I pressed last.

What gives?

Also, I've burned a couple of game ISO's, but I keep getting a message that the disc isn't recognised - what's up with that? Is it just a media problem? They are DVD+R's.

sometimes the box crashes when i want to enable acam, then it stops on 'press once more to enable acam'
and when it doesn't crash, it show me the latest picture... but the same
so it doesn't switch after a minute

If you have a samsung drive, this is most likely due to the fact that the samsung drive sucks at reading dvd+r (but has no problem reading dvd+rw....very annoying)
you could try burning at a lower speed (say, 2x or 1x).  other than that, not much you can do that i know of (i have the same problem).
