How do you know if the EEPROM is definitely the problem? I have a tsop flashed xbox that's resetting 3 times and then fragging. Does a fried eeprom show the same thing or just flash red/green without doing the reset thing first? I am not sure what the problem is because I wasn't there when my "friend" was messing with my xbox. He said he saw a black and white picture on the tv screen and was adjusting the power cord and video cord at the same time and everything went haywire, but then again he could have toyed with avalaunch or xbmp first. I tried using multiple bioses off of a modchip etc but same results. Haven't tried the fried eeprom trick thing yet though but didn't want to waste my time if the eeprom isn't the problem to begin with.

I didn't fully understand. I think he disconnected the EEPROM, took off the X2 and burned it with a BIOS that can boot without the EEPROM. He did this on another XBOX because he didn't have a burner for the X2.
Then he reconnected the X2 and EEPROM and flashed it with the backup.
Seems a bit strange, but it was not easy to understand him.

Now I see someone managed to delete 150G of games by simply copying files. Just great.

There are too many other dashboards to be using something as unstable and damaging as this one. Shame on you if you screwed up your Xbox, I have no remorse for you since you have read here over and over how all these people screwed their Xboxes. Trust me take it off your Xbox while your Xbox is still working!

I use Avalaunch for the ftp only...wow its fast!

but other than that I have just played around with it...
another point I'd like to bring up, is that you can use a usb Keyboard in avalaunch, and in the built in XToolbox that comes inside Avaluanch.

but I WONT be upgrading my avalaunch again anytime soon, glad I grabbed the newest version a couple of weeks ago ( again another very cool feature, the update dashboard button inside ava)

P.S. I love avalaunch!  And want this program to be THE MAIN dashboard for the xbox ... so I'm speaking as a Friend to the Developers of the program ...so ... the guys that created and developed this Program get the proper Praise and Respect that they deserve for a great program ...  so "Pro Alpha Testers First"  please! smile.gif

P.S.S.  How about 10 Pro Alpha Testers that are just assigned 1 or 2 tasks each... such as  ONE guy just checks IRC and Newsfeeder. Another checks Skins ,ect!  Keep it Simple!  So the check can be made quickly.

so what if u dont have a flashable modchip like Xecuter 1..... would it work if i removed my modchip and got another one?
