Yea avalaunch is the best and 0.48.2 is the most stable release is my opinion.  I will stick with it until a good stable one comes out.

Can you turn off the shoutcast ?  like if you are done listening ..or do you HAVE to reboot.?

About quickstart..
I am hearing people have problems with this..
I am also having problems getting this to work..
I have a logitec wireless controller and am wondering if this is a problem for the quickstart feature sinse it seems the controller does not "kick in" until the dashboard is almost loaded .   Have you heard of this being a issue with the quickstart feature.  I have no wire controller to test lol.  (I will soon enough to find out.)



Anyway THANK YOU  great dashboard cannot wait for next release.

I don't know who recommended total commander but it's your client that has the problem not avalaunch. Try Internet explorer or Flashfxp (The latter is shareware) they delete directory's fine on my xbox with avalaunch.

I've not launched evox once since I changed back to avalaunch, why would I?

Max Payne 2 is a shit game I would worry about it, in fact I'd see it as a bonus.

Just a little feature req: can the dash be made to automatically jump to 16:9 mode for those of us with widescreen TV's?

The reason I ask is because I have a cheap widescreen TV (bad purchase - only go for expensive ones), which distorts the picture quite badly. It's noticeable in 4:3 mode because the lines at the edge of the picture are wavey! When the picture is switched to 16:9 it fills the screen so it's not as noticeable..

EvoX and XBMP can do it, so I don't think it would be too hard?

Anyway, thanks for a great dash! The shoutcast features are brilliant!

Ok i got a few:
1. I tried to backup a DVD (original movie) just for the sake of tryin and it freezes (tried a good 5 or 6 times)
2. Every now and then, not that often, when i boot up my box and hit the thumbstick for shoutcast my box freezes. (i don't have ne of the /stream####/ sites because i realized this does not work... when i entered the site into my IE it said that winamp is required to play)
3. Shoutcast problems (not sure if this is ava or the server) stations will play way to fast/slow or play,stop,play,stop. gets real annoying but if u just hit the thumbstick again u might find one that doesn't do it.
4. UNSTABLE freezes a lot! no particular reasons.

That said i LOVE avalaunch compared to other dashs, someone in #evolutionx suggested using it (LOL) a few days ago and i've been hooked!

0.48.4: Not all operations can be performed with the remote.

For example the File manager menu needs the start button to be pressed on the controller. I am not aware of any equivalent remote button.
