when a skin is applying the whole menu changes to the skin except when you go back to skins its still the one skin until you reboot.

I've got the same problem as someone from above, freezes when trying to load the background from w:/. I'm guessing that's where it caches the images, but I don't have a w:/, damnit.

Avalaunch is freezing on my soft modded xbox when launched as dashboard.
When it tries to load it only displays some very thin horizontal colored lines that flicker very fast. I don't get to see any of the loading text.
It runs just fine as an app.

Xbox v 1.3
160GB WD HD  G: Partition enabled
Bioses tried:
BFM_M7
BFM_evoxd6 Eject Fix LBA48 (My default bios for now)
BFM_X2_4976.02
BFM_X2_4977

Got the package from the usual places, unrared and tried running from C, E and F.
Deleted entire Media folder and the saved/cached ava data and uploaded new ava.
Tried static/dhcp and no link, no background music and with music, delete language files, tried many things but couldn't get it to work as a dash.
I've decided to put it on F: for now and the old ava on C: to do more tests.
I love being able to download skins and preview them, that's just great!
And it also seems sharper.
Great release guys. Now if I could use this new version as my default dash, it would be perfect =)
Oh well, 'll just stick with .48 for now

I am getting a "buffering mp3" splash screen when pressing left thumb. Normally whould get just 1 screen and after that online music but now nothing only the repeating buffering screen appearing with 2 sec intervals.

My network is ok because I do het the newsfeed.

two bugs:

1.  Running avalaunch "update" on version .48.2   says it will download an patch, after "upgrade" your ava is downgraded to 0.48


2.  Pressing "Play" on the remote causes the AVA to hang instantly.
(I've tried this hopeing that background music would start to play)  (earlier request)

I suspect a bug when lauching programs from an avalaunch that was executed by another program.

check this out:
-I run Avalaunch as my dashboard  (it works well - no problems)
-I start XBMC
-IF I start Avalaunch from XBMC by rebooting ("orange" exit buton)  - then Avalaunch works perfectly.

but:

-IF I start Avalaunch from XBMC (using the "green" exit),  it often freezes while starting other programs

(The "green" exit from XBMC does only execute Avalauch - while teh "orange" exit button resets XBOX (the green blob & everything else )

The Joker : XBMC doesn't exit cleanly yet, so a green reboot will mess things up for launching.

BEAMEN if you had ava insstalled before you just need to erase the media folder compeltely remove from hd then re upload the 0.48.2 one I had same prob and did this works great.

This only happens when the URL in your shoutcast file is no longer valid.

I've experienced this myself, it will constantly try to buffer ... if you click your left stick it'll try the next one.

When this happened to me, the servers IP address in the URL to my streams had changed so it was doing it for all of them.

Verify your URL's.

It's great, I worked right off with my TSOP flash mod but I can't get it to work with PBL. It will run if I first load evox as a dash and then start avalaunch but I can't get it to run as the default dash. I have tried all BFM bioses, both audio and font tricks with the standard bios and also loading PBL with the modded bios but it still won't work.
Anyone had luck with PBL and avalaunch 0.48.2 as the default dash?
