Finally i made the jump from evox to Ava 0.47. .i think it was the XIT support that made me do it..

One thing i miss is seeing how mutch space there is free.. but that might change when the skin update is ready.

Out FATX wrapper that allows really, really long file names has been disabled.

I've gotta say that it is a pretty impressive dash. I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to give it a try. By 2am I finally dragged myself to bed. Very nice layout. I've not yet gotten around to trying to ftp or skin. In due time.........

Ava 0.47 is coming up great but still not quite there
for me. What's up with the fonts? They are much
uglier than those in Evox. Is this something I can
change easily?

Its a very sweet dashboard. Everything is very neat and professional looking. Only problem (which I am sure is easy to remedy) I have with it are the small fonts used in the lower right and left corner.

Check the settings xml file before you complain, man!

You can copy whatever truetype font you want into the media dir, and set it up to work in the xml file.

I wasn't saying that I don't like your paricular choices of ttf fonts. I was saying I don't like the way all your fonts come out. In Evox, the fonts have some other extension (can't remember what it is) and if you compare both, I think you'll agree that they are much crisper and readable in Evox. Are ttf files not suited for tv display or is ava not rendering them appropriately?Right now, poor readability is the only thing stopping me from switching to ava, the rest is excellent.

after a few more days with avalaunch, it has become my primary dash. not one single problem, freeze, or hiccup. very nice work.
