I have been looking for a replacement to evox for a long time... and since 0.47, avalaunch has replaced evox on my xbox smile.gif

Really, avalaunch now looks much more mature than previous versions. I'm looking forward to future releases!

I think Avalaunch is now officially user-friendly enough for the first time user  wink.gif  It is just as easy to use as EvoX, but has more/better (mobetta?) options.

Only complaint: Crazy indentation in the default INI. (I always use TextPad to pull the indents out and structure it myself...) [Pretty good when this is the only thing I could come up with, eh?]  tongue.gif

Instead of trying to insult us, can't you explain what problems you are experiencing? We've done extensive testing on the FTP. So please tell us about your problems so we can sort them out.

i dont know what youre talking about. ftp is working just fine for me. every transfer (except ONE (and im inclined to think it was something dont wrong MYSELF) works, every function and task.

the only thing i can say about ava's ftp is that its SLIGHTLY slower than mxm, but faster than media player for me. i get a constant 5MB/sec, compared to mxm where i get 6-7, big friggin deal.

perhaps its the client youre using.

This is the stuff that makes xbox-scene cool. Between all teh emulators etc. MXM releases, everyday i come home wondering what new thing i can throw into the xbox. When i saw Ava 0.47 i almost shit myself, it is awesome.
Pros:
*IRC Client
*Zip support (not used, but i trust you guys LOL)
*The way we can set the menus up, this is what puts it hands down over MXM for me, the menus and creating submenus etc is easier IMO, and mroe customizable.
*MP3 support back in it.
*FTP support is excellent, the only reason evo-x was even linekd was the ftp, now i think its bye-bye forever.
Cons:
*THe only negative thing is that here and there an MP3 is on fast forward it seems. But hey its funny, so i dont even see it as being all that negative.

In my opinion, this release was good enough for a v1 non alpha release. Seriously, everything is as good as anyone could ever hope, and in most cases better again. Cant wait for your new skinning system though, then we will see some awesome stuff being done.

When I download from FTP it doesn't create actual files. It makes folders with the file names of the files.
