hehehe, it'll be as reliable as the one on your pc.  ever turned off the PC while defragging ?

I don't think so.. but as with any FAT file system turing off during a defrag will most likely result in dataloss and the need for a diskcheck to fix whatever it was doing(fix as in remove the corrupt file, not bring it back to life). I would however feel safe turning off while an NTFS partition is defragging b/c i know that the log will revert it next time it turns on...

By inactivity it means no active input from the controls, ive spent hours FTPing files over not touching the XBOX,which from what you've said is activity, but it turned itself off still. The activity to stop it turning off must come from either the controls or a remote if you have one.

Also, not sure if anyone has asked this before, but.....
Can I place AVA under my EvoX menu as another program?  Or does it fully take the place of EvoX?  just curious since I've only messed with EvoX

thanks,
-jin

edit : ignore the ava on a evox system, found the answer to that...haha.  blink.gif

wonder how many people will line up to bea test this thing wink.gif

It'll be a real Evo-X smasher, but a real headache for Team Ava, I suspect. They could have it perfect and users will still find a way to screw things up.  tongue.gif

Defrag is a cool feature, but it's one of those things you can't afford to get wrong, so let them get this thing nice and solid, no matter how long it takes.

Thanks for you support BJ. You're absolutely right. People have to wait for this feature. One tiny bug can screw up the entire hard drive.

And even when the feature gets enabled, you use it at your own risk! If there's a power outage or something at your house, don't come crying to us tongue.gif

Btw, I've often wondered about the same thing... How many users are going to volunteer to alpha/beta test this feature...  rotfl.gif

Always. I really like the new one though. Neat new option would be for packet readouts perhaps? Just like in Windows LAN.
You know like, Local Area Connection 1, Speed: 100.0 Mbps. That would be pretty neat, but don't waste time on that right now. biggrin.gif

what you missing dude is that fact that evox isn't bug free its got real bad networking issues and as long as ava keep its fast loading times i don't mind having all the extra features you might as well load them up then not to

good job team ava you guys rock!
