ok, are you selecting a game and it won't do anything or do you press "Games on HDD" and the screen disappears and then goes back to the dash?

Can you navigate through the EvoX menus OK and will Apps or anything else launch successfully? If they don't then a HDD problem would be a good bet. However I'm always wary of advising about chipped machines because in the past I've read about problems being caused by BIOS issues that I simply haven't known anything about. It is not impossible that could be the trouble in this case.

I am willing to bet that your games folder has either been re-directed to nowhere or that it was renamed.

It depends if we're talking about games in the Games folder being listed but not launching or the Games folder not responding.

On top of what FA said, you can look to see if the evox.ini file has had some sort of reversion. I've had/seen it before where it suddenly went backwards and a lot of features that had worked previously vanished. If you copy over evox.ini and take a look into it with a text editor, in the GAMES section it should direct to BOTH E/games and F/games and possibly G/games.

Well, I think things have gotten completely worse now. :( Today, I go to turn on the Xbox to find that it is not loading properly.  When you start the Xbox now it hangs at the screen intro and the Dash starts up super slow and remained that way. It also had a funny smell to it as if something is burning. Just my luck.

If you can get it going FTP everything you want to keep off that HDD ASAP. Sounds as if your Xbox has other, more serious problems.

super slow boot time on the hard drive is very very common when you are almost out of memory on the hard drive.

I've not tried deleting the evox.ini file with an Evox dash to see what happens. I certainly wouldn't dream of doing this if EvoX was my main dash only as an app.
