I just softmodded my xbox with evox and I don't want to make a ftp server just for 1 trainer (I want to beat that damn breakdown). Is there a way to update evox trainers list from dvd/usb?

Not with Evox. The ideal setup would be to run Unleash or XBMC as a main dash for their file manager capabilities, allowing you to copy new trainers from DVD/USB, and then run evox as an app for your trained gaming needs.

I've tried with ftp but Windows 7 doesn't want to collaborate... I guess I'll have to give up

I run windows 7 x64 and have no issues FTP'ing. Something on your xbox/PC isn't set up right.

Use Filezilla as your FTP client on your PC. The log will tell you where in the process the FTP is failing.
