Issues On Ftp'ing To Evox
« on: October 04, 2006, 03:20:00 AM »

Make sure you are using a crossover cable (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6766654.htm)

Set up your IP as 192.168.1.150, save and resit the xbox. Put this into Internet Explorer:

FTP://192.168.1.150

Should set you up. Hope this helps!

Yes, it appears I have just been using a plain ethernet cable.  But now that i have used the xbox cross over cable I still have a problem.

For what ever reason and this isnt even network related but my xbox hangs after the Xbox Loading screen which displays "Microsoft" or "excuter".  For along time, over five minutes.  This just started recently after many months of using the xbox without problems.
The other issue with connecting my xbox is that after I set the Network Information within Evox settings, I will reload and all saved settings for the IP are erased.  Although many of the same settings in that list will remain... such as the yes and no questions, while all IP info is wiped back to 0.0.0.0
Any more helpfull tips?

I would like to offer some assistance here if possible.

Here are 2 links that helped me

http://www.chefelf.c.../networking.php

Make sure when you go over to the NIC to change your TCP/IP that you highlight it and select properties, choose to put an IP address in and usually a 192.168.0.1 worked for me, put your xbox as something similiar like 192.168.0.3. Keep in mind that you have dns set to 0.0.0.0. You will have to go back to this area when you want to reset your normal internect connection through your TCP/IP.

I also gave you a link to using your Explorer window which I have found to be faster for transfering files.
