Ingame Reset Problem "x2pro"
« on: July 30, 2003, 05:51:00 PM »

I have a problem with the ingame reset feature(the x2pro one). It works sometimes and boots back to evox, but sometimes it just makes the screen black and sits there. If I eject the xbox dvd drive on the black screen evox boots (no disk in the drive). Does anybody have an idea for why this happens?

Well same problem Here.

Last Evox with all IGR turned ON and last bios xecuter 4977 (on a Xecuter 2.1)

Instead of banging my against the wall trying to solve your problem, how about I bang your head against the wall?

So I have a problem with my igr too. I have a x2 4977 and when I have turned off all IGR in the evox.ini. When I do IGR with a disk in it loads to that, but otherwise it never goes to the dash.

Also I noticed that the evox IGR is still trying to work, because it does the same thing if I press "L, R, Back and start" or "L, R, Back and Black".

Very confused, any help would be very appretiated.

Mine freezes like that when I try IGR in Soul Calibur 2, but that's it. All my other games are fine.

rolleyes.gif

Anyway thanks for your so great solution  wink.gif

So to clarify all that, IGR should be turned off in Evox when using 4977 bios ? (conflict with the IGR from the bios and evox ???)

explanation would be usefull.

Ciao

Don't you also need to copy the "x2_IGR_disabled' file to the e: drive?

Attention, this is a well known evolution-x Bug, yes BUG.

When does this Bug Occur?
When you have your network cable plugged when you started evox with power on, the next application using the network will
hang up. That is 100% your problem, not anything else.

Why does it do this?
Because team evolution-x has somehow managed to not shutdown the network 100% correctly when u power it up.
Else it works

Solution 1)
How to bypass this. Launch evox with no network cable and the applications, which will suck if you use Relax or SMB shares.

Solution 2)
Ah yes, well you can eject the DVD Drive, and your xbox will reboot, next time you start an application even with network, it will not hangup due to evox.

Solution 3)
Switch Dashboard, i switched to Avalaunch, or simply switch to MediaXMenu, whatever you like.

_after_ you done any of the solutions, you can tell the dev's of the emu/app that their emulator actually did hang, and not evox your machine. So it's the applications fault/bug and not evox's anymore.

Now this solves it, and some mod should make a pinned thread about this so we won't get those "my machine hangs up" crap anymore
