Every Time I Run Quix
« on: October 06, 2004, 08:56:00 AM »

Every single time I have ever ran Quix it has erased my system tray, where I have to kill it in the running programs list to get it to restart (con-alt-del)

I have two  PC's that I run it on, one is 98SE, and the other is ME,
I realise Quix was probably made for XP, but thats not an option rightnow,
any ways to fix this?

Are you using Qwix 1.01?  If not, get it.

If you are already running 1.01, I spent a considerable amount of time (several days) resolving that bug and will not look into it any further because there are so few people running Win98se and WinME compared to WinXP.  Windows 2000 and Windows XP don't have that problem at all.

Good luck.

Thx Man, Good advice, I upgraded to the newer Quix, and that fixed it...now If I can just get it to go faster lol

I get same speeds with Quix as Flash FXP.
And in Windows98/I cant find the 100 Duplex option on my nic card, there is no advanced tab in the properties.

But now that quix works without killing my System Tray, I will use it to create my ISo's   tongue.gif
I like its interface better than SimpleXIso that Ive always been using.

Any other Ideas for speed?

I tried the tutorial for putting up an FTP server (Serv-U)on My PC and connecting to both with FlashFXP...but My router wasnt supported.

I get a max of about 1 mps with FlashFXP and QUIX  sad.gif

but I can transfer from one of my XBOX's to the other, with Ava @ 10mps (sometimes only smile.gif )
