Hi,

I am using the latest ev8 bios found on the slayer 2.6 disk hardware is in my sig.

When I laucnh avalaunch from evox dash, sometimes the screen will just go blank .. I found that avalaunch is still running even though I can't see. If I start a game or launch xbmc from avalauch the screen the video will come back on. .. I have disabled all the 480 720 and 1080.. as well as the boot settings for 720 and 1080 and disabled the wide screen but the problem is still happening. I am going to upldate avalaunch when I get home ( I brought my box to work today).

I am using the standard cables that came with the xbox going to a regular tv.

Any other ideas?

seems like downgrading to the em7 bios fixed that problem..

.........oookay ? that's just strange. could be something fishy with the evo8 bios ?

I agree. This problem never happened on my 1.6 xbox and xecuter lite 2.6.
But on that system I could never play fable from the harddrive... I wish there was some consitency (sp) between versions
