Gentoox Run From Avalaunch
« on: June 01, 2004, 09:38:00 PM »

Just wanted to know if it is ok to run GentooX from avalaunch on the F or G drive.  Doing the FTP install is says you must have 3.5GB free in E which I don't (only about 2GB).  Is it ok do do the FTP install but say in the root of or a subfolder in F or G and the just pathe the xbe to match this location?  If so will this cause conflict when linux runs when it looks in it's root for say any other files it needs?  Any input is appreciated.

yes you can, get a copy of linux to boot from a cdr, it will ask you where do you want to install it and it will do the job for you, donĀ“t you native install because it will format your f partition, anyway, go to http://gentoox.shallax.com and see the FAQS first b4 asking.

Good luck.
