I just voted no, then decided to play some 360 only to find that I have now been banned.

TS drive
1.61 Firmware
Modded for about 3 years now without issue, though I don't play on live hardly at all. I'm a PC gamer first and foremost.

No biggie for me. I still have another 360 that's never even been on live that should be o.k. for if I decide to get back on Live.

I was banned Sunday night.

Samsung spoofed as a hitachi running 1.6 iX.
Backed up games played were Wolfenstein and Borderlands.

I moved the HDD to a new console I just bought, recovered my gamertag and went on playing borderlands without an issue with my gamesave. I will have to reinstall the game to my HDD as known.

Hey guys, my 3 360's were banned all on different days, today being the last. I just wanted to share this with you guys and see what you think. This is not from me but from a member on another forum, all credit to him, ufc:

After the latest Update Facebook etc ... When you connect to live it downloads a file But you don't see the file downloading Wired...ok so i did check the file and it has RSA on it and its a live file its 55 kb in size and its in the content partition 0000000000000000 when the download is complete the xbox will Randomize a name with 8 chars for me it was
4D51184 i tried deleting the partition but as soon as you connect to live it will download the file which i think checks you Firmware and sends it to a remote server
i hope this information helps
Please Experiment with this
btw i tried un plugging my cable while the "invisible" download is downloading
and it said Download stopped the name of the download is in uni-code

so im not sure if this has something to do with people getting banned and what not but just wanted to share this info with you guys and hope this helped.

My girlfriends brothers xbox got banned last night.

BenQ
Ix 1.6

Played a Halo 3 ODST Allstars bittorrent release online.. against my advice.

I also put this disk in my box with no internet cable attached, played for 5 min and did not unlock any achievements. I also disconnected my hard drive and cable and played MW2 for about 5 min and did not unlock any achievements. I am now afraid to connect my xbox. Is there any way to clear that data before I connect again?

LiteOn 1.6 no spoof.
Banned nov 5ish

Played lots of games fine, then one night played rock band the beatles online
woke up to play again to a nice ban warning

ABGX verified everything. Didnt play early releases

MY GUESS:

The idiot that charged me $40 to flash my FW powered the liteon
with the XBOX itself... that jackass powered it on without the DVD drive...

"BTW ppl, if your banned and just cant figure out why, thats it"

"Probably why 1 guy here was banned in the middle of playing a legitamite game"

Theres a ROM chip that records activity on your xbox
and power on without a dvd drive connected is a pretty big ass red flag
you want to avoid.

cuz as soon as u connect that information is uploaded
and as thier servers sweep console ID's and reach yours and sees that, your banned.

Btw, staying offline wont help either a cousin of mine hadnt played in like 8 months
and turned on today to a ban. they record everything u did dumb
dont even play a game that fails and say "oh ill just unplug my network"

Youll get banned

Banned Hitachi LG 1.51FW
Had it modded for about 6 months, only wave 4 game I played was GTA episodes.

Every single disc was verified by ABGX before and after burning.

I was using Verbatim DVD+R DL media.

Lol at microsoft for making such cheap pieces of shit. The consoles are some of the easiest to mod in computer history. They have themselves to blame from day 1. Combined with the RORD and huge technical failures I believe a software giant like m/soft should learn a few lessons here. Taking steps to combat piracy? Then why make shit that a kid can take apart?

To put rest to some other stuff i have read -

1 - My console was modded from the box and *NEVER* plugged in before the mod. Updates were applied after it was modded.

2- I have only played 3 bad games online. When I say bad i mean illegitimate games that were not backed up or originals. I will not name those games but they were verified through ABGX and burnt at 2X speed on IMGburn using Verbatim D Layer. The rest of my games were originals. So in total I play 6 games online. Three original, three copied.

3 - I *NEVER* played any games pre release. Even single player so no real flags there.

4 - I *NEVER* played wave 4 games either and was banned before the new update

5 - Mod was done with connectivity kit and not from the xbox power supply.

i wonder what the real count is now compared to the other day. how many more people are banned. it looks like the odds of getting banned are great so i suppose the best option is to not connect to xbox live at this time. on any of my xbox's.

M$ lost another customer.Live and map packs were a shoe in for money and now i will give it to sony and wii and go back to PC gaming where i didnt pay to play either.

Greedy bastards...

and its not the modders that raise the prices of the games. That is such rubbish.

Looks like it could be as high as 60% ban/non-ban (on moddied drives) this will probably get even more drastic as I dont think M$ are anywhere near done with there bannings yet. They certainly can detect more then just bad rips, whether that be firmware or something in the flashing process. Wont get a new box till they sort it all out, guess MW2 on the PS3 will have to do.
