If my 360 would stop locking up during Halo 2, then maybe I would use this feature more. Two Xbox 360s later and it still locks up. Haha, I give up.

When will they make Jet Set Radio Future, Phantasy Star Online or SSX ON TOUR compatible?

I'd be saying Halo 2 but it doesn't work in VGA.

That sucks! Especially since it's only because of the download screen. So I've heard.

I love playing the GTA Trilogy on 360 - my favourite being the original GTA3. It just looks so damn good on the 360.

All I need now is for Midtown Madness 3 to be made BC, and i'll be completely happy smile.gif

I dunno. The intelectual property issue is not that relevant as the processor change is

The PS3 has a processor change and what did they do?

They are also putting a ps2 processor inside the ps3 just for backward compatibility, that is something MS could not legally do

I use it mostly for Halo 2, though I bought pre-owned copies of Chaos Theory for lan play, and GTA Vice City cos it rocks (San andreas sucks). No im not racist, but the game is way too black.

haha I was just reading the compatibility list, the majority of the games are games nobody would ever play. Why do they prioritize shamoo's hoop jumping over games that actually sold?

IIRC, the explanation for that is that some games are very similar in how they use the X1, so one profile may work for several games.

But here's why BC matters for me.  My stereo only has one set of component video and digital audio inputs, which means my X1 is now back to standard def and 2-channel stereo.  I also hoped this would be an opportunity to take the X1 and turn it into a media server.  But the X1 games still have some life left in them, and as long as they still get play, I'm stuck with the current setup.

Just use it for Halo, Halo 2, Burnout 3 (yay! it got added!) and Forza. I'd much rather play 360 games though so BC isn't a big issue for me.

For Halo 2 exclusively.  Which is pretty much teh only game I play on my 360 due to a lack fo available worthy titles.

That would have to be the case.. Though playing the new games is kinda worth it with the gamer score. If it was not for that I think I would cancel the game fly account..

Backwards or even DVD playback compatability was never a requirement or a selling point for any console up until Sony coaxed people into thinking otherwise with the PS2.  Did people really buy a new PS2 just to play old games or watch movies?...no, but it's a convenient selling point to cover up the fact that the launch titles were not all that great.

Very true.
