Wuddup folks. I don't know if this has been posted before but I am gonna anyway because I could never find any info on this.

Not sure if the board I have is 1.6 or 1.6b but here is the necessary modification you need to perform to make reliable eeprom reads from the LPC on a 1.6 xbox.


Remove the resister marked R7D10 just above the eeprom chip and then bridge it's points on the board with a glob of solder.  

Done!
The LPC on your 1.6 board now has the same pinout (for eeprom access) as prior versions of the xbox.
(SDA pin 14 and SCL pin 13)

Remember. For 1.6 xboxes, You still need to unplug the reader from the PC until after the xbox finishes the flubber animation and stops at the "X" screen. You now can plug in to the PC and perform your read.
