Ps3 Blu-ray Drive Noise After Laser Replacement.

Hi folks,

Last week my PS3 stopped reading any media properly. Sometimes it wouldn't see that a disc was in the drive and then others it would and would load the game but would invariably stop reading the disc during loading very soon after.

Anyway, I ordered a replacement laser with deck and installed it in my PS3 yesterday and it reads everything perfectly now. One thing that I noticed is that it seems to be a bit noisier particularly just as it starts to load and I can only assume that what I'm hearing is the laser moving up and down the rails. Would it be possible for me to lubricate the rails with something to see if that solves it? If so then what can I use? Or should I just leave it be?
