Trying To Help A Friend Repair His Ps3
« on: February 27, 2009, 12:15:00 PM »

Hi,

I'm trying to help a friend repair a PS3 of his. It was a launch console and now it won't turn on. The LEDS turn on, but when he presses the power button, the lights blink a couple of colours then goes back to standby. From what he knows, it's an issue with some of the early PS3's and has something to do with the cooling. Can anyone direct me to some more information on what the problem is, and how to fix it? I'm in the dark on it.

Thanks
