Is My Ps3 Scratching My Discs?

Okay. first off I bought a 20GB PS3 (USA/NTSC) about 2-3 days ago, I am about 3/4s of the way through resistance (well, 4 levels including the one im on left biggrin.gif) and I noticed that there are a couple tiny hair-line scratches on the disc and they go in the direction that I pulled the disc out in, now I am not an idiot, I do handle these (and all other) discs very carefully... has anyone else noticed this at all?  I am using the system vertically if that matters...
