Scuf Controller Help
« on: October 10, 2013, 06:13:00 AM »

Hey guys

I'm hoping some genius on here can help!
I am looking to make a X and O scuf controller with my old SixAxis controller.
After searching around the forums, I believe that it is the similar model to:

MSU_V2, MSU_V2.5 (Six-Axis) MSU_VX (DS3)

(IMG:http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f320/RDCXBG/PS3%20Six-Axis%20and%20DS3/NewSixAxisandDS3.jpg)

thanks to RDC

Here is an image of my controller:

Full Size Image Here

Again, thanks to RDC, I think that I need to be soldering points:

TP26 as COM2
TP39 as X
TP40 as O

However the controller looks slightly different and I dont want to screw it up!
Could someone please identify where exactly on the board I should be soldering/ connecting? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Many thanks!

EDIT:

I believe that the controller is a MSU_V2 2.14

and that the connections I'm looking to solder are circled in the photo below...however, I am unsure which 'TP' number matches with which?

Please help! Many thanks

You can see exactly what version your controller is by looking on the other side of the board, where it's written. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Looks like a V2 from that pic.

That one is a little bit of a mess, but the silk screen (the white marking) shows them all right there.

You'll need TP26, TP39 and TP40 as you've already found. Those TP spots are in those 2 rows of 4 and 3 that look more uniform right next to the MCU there.

TP39 is in the top row of 4, then TP40 and TP26 are in the bottom row of 3 there.

TP39 is in the top row, third from the left.

TP40 is in the middle of the row of three.

TP26 is last in the the row of three.

Many thanks RDC! I can now see how the TP markings line up with the points themselves (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks for the help!

I've posted an image for anyone else to quickly identify the TP points on the MSU_V2 2.14! Thanks
