Dolby Truhd And Dts-ma Hdmi Bitsetting
« on: January 20, 2008, 02:15:00 PM »

hello

just got a ps3 for its blueray features. Highly recomended by what home cinema magzine

i have an onkyo Sr-605 reciever with the DTS-MA and Dobly TrueHD decoding built in

I know that the high def audio codecs uch as Dobly TrueHD can oly be past via PCM on HDMI 1.3a

I was wondering if any one out there or if it has been leaked news about passing these codecs via bitstream

i realise the DTS-MA may be a while but outside decoding for trueHD would be nice and will definatly poise the the PS3 on the console market

Thanks for reading and replying

Dolby True HD and DTS MA is now supported in the 2.3 update.  Sweet!

But sadly, still no support for bitstream.

You can't see "DTS MA or Dolby True HD" on your AV-Receiver wink.gif
PS3 can decode this format but, the out is in PCM only...

I have got a SR-606 and i've got the same "problem"...

Sorry for my english... I'm french ! wink.gif
