Xbox 360 Controller Clone For Ps2
« on: April 26, 2007, 11:01:00 AM »

$6.99 at Geeks.com:

http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=PS-890&cat=GAM

Looks like a wired Xbox 360 controller, but for PS2.  The PS2-PS3 controller adapter is already on pre-order for $14.99:

$22 solution if you want to use an Xbox 360-style controller for your PS3 games (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That's so stupid... Someone is going to get sued over that. It still has the original AXYB buttons that the 360 has... they didn't even bother to change them to the OX(triangle)(square) buttons... gah it's a POS

Well I have them and for 5.99 a piece its not that bad. the LB/RB are more "clicky" than a 1st party 360 controller, but not as bad as a pelican 3rd party 360 controller. The 360 guide button does work as a PS button when connected to a PS3. It weighs the same as a wired 360 controller. The ring of light works...kinda... I have only used it on the PS3 but when connected the 1st and 3rd indicators are lit up RED. It is made with some thin plastic because about 15% of the front of the controller is lit up when used. all the buttons are labeled with the 360 style but they are mapped like a normal PS controller ( Y = Triangle, B = Circle, A = X, X = Square)
If someone wants I can post some better pics.
It does have rumble but I haven't figured out if it works or not.
I haven't tried any PS2/1 games with it.

No they dont work on the 360.
I also did some modifications to put the PS logo in the place that would normally be the Guide button. I also fixed the light leaking issues that the Red LEDs were making now the controller lights up just like the 360 aside from the little spining ring of light. I did take pics throughout the entire process so if someone wants i could put em up.

I also ordered one of these when i saw this thread and just got it a few days ago. For 6 bucks, its actually not that bad. The rumble works, although one time it got stuck and controller wouldn't stop rumbling so i had to unplug and plug back in. And I also have the 1 and 3 positions on the ring lit up even though it should just be 1 thats lit. The right joystick doesn't seem to have as much control as a normal ps3/360 paddle. I had to turn the sensitivity down to 0 in resistance just to make it playable. It's like if you just move the joystick an eighth of an inch it doesn't move the cusor but all the sudden after you tilt it more it moves the cursor alot. Has anybody else noticed this, or is it just me?

That would be rather pointless.

I think he was talking about the mods, and the pics at Geeks.com suck.

I have written up a page that shows the controller to save the Scene's bandwidth.
You can see all the details at PS360 Mod - This would be my personal website, as you can see it is mainly devoted to Monte Carlos right now.

Several sites that used to have them are now reporting as sold out, and have it labeled as being discontinued.
I was able to find one website with them in stock.
